![]() I'm just constantly reminded of one of Murphy's Laws: Money's not terribly hard to come by either, and the game's easy enough there's no need to hyper-optimize. Best romance in an RPG ever.Įdit: I just buy everything furnished, mostly because I don't find playing Fantasy Interior Decorator all that interesting. I have fond memories of having to derail running the kingdom because my queen got horny and needed to boink somebody ASAP. A bit of common sense is all trait selection takes - and the game forbids most of the really stupid combinations anyway.īesides, the game gets more fun when your sims make you do stupid stuff. The others are just slightly inconvenient, since you have to take time out of the day to go hunt whales or get drunk or gibber or whatever. When it comes to traits, the only one I've ever had complicate life significantly was bloodthirsty, since that can get a sim killed. It takes a while to get quest performance up to platinum, so you're better off taking it slow and steady with high focus than ploughing on full steam ahead with a hungry, tired and unhappy sim. This too helps raise focus.Ĥ) It's totally OK to only get one or two quest objectives done per day. ![]() Do whatever is required to get rid of this, and you'll usually get a positive moodlet as reward. Do these, they raise focus significantly, and are usually pretty easy.ģ) Occasionally your traits will give your active sim(s) a negative moodlet. Both of these raise focus, and so quest performance.Ģ) Each day your active sim(s) (the ones you choose to do a quest with) get two tasks to do with their profession. Get plenty of sleep, and cough up a bit for decent ingredients so you won't have to feed 'em gruel all the time. The tutorial makes it seem a mite intimidating, but there's really only a couple rules to follow:ġ) Your sim is limited by food and sleep. This game looks so complex and it seems a bit overwhelming to go into without a Prima guide at hand.It really isn't particularly hard. True, but I'm new to the game (and haven't played a Sims game since the Makin' Magic expansion, so a lot of the features like Responsibilities or Focus are completely new to me), so right now I want to start off on the right foot so I don't end up with my Sims becoming UNmanageable due to poor Flaw and Trait choices.
